Inspired by Pope Francis’ Economy of Francesco, we organize investors, faith leaders, and fund managers around Catholic Social Teaching — building the conviction, community, and market intelligence to move capital toward a different kind of economy.
Vision
Decades ago, pioneering congregations of women religious made a bold decision to use their capital as a transformative force for good, rejecting a status quo of exploitative and extractive finance. We — the grateful inheritors of their vision for Catholic investing — are a community gathered and grounded by the Holy Spirit, which:
- Builds conviction, capacity, and companionship among those who long to live out a finance and investment practice rooted in this vision; and,
- Offers a space of hospitality and discovery for anyone seeking to explore the possibilities of capital as a force for good.
We are united as peers in building–each in our own way–an economy of solidarity, justice, repair, and ecological flourishing: an economy that breathes in the prophetic principles of Catholic social teaching.
Workshops and Formation
Our flagship program, the Livable Future Investing workshop, has gathered 200+ institutional investors, philanthropists, and faith leaders across ten cohorts — from CIOs of multi-billion dollar investment offices to treasurers of religious congregations navigating governance transitions. Together we pray, write, wrestle, and discern our most important work. Formation is not a prerequisite for transformation. It’s the method.
Immersions and Encounters
Too often, the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor feel distant from the spreadsheets and investment committees where decisions get made. We create encounters that close that distance — bringing investors into direct relationship with communities, leaders, and ecosystems at the frontier of a different kind of economy. What you see changes what you’re willing to do.
Capital Strategy
Moving toward faith-first investing means navigating a specific set of obstacles — consultants without approved lists, investment committees with outdated mental models, boards that haven’t yet developed a framework for this kind of asset allocation. We know that terrain. We work alongside organizations to build the conviction, the language, and the internal relationships to move through it — from revising an investment policy statement to closing a first impact investment to reshaping how an endowment is managed for the long term.
Community and Movement Building
Movements are born of critical connections rather than critical mass. We collaborate with organizations across the faith-first investing ecosystem — sharing intelligence, co-creating programming, and building the kind of trusted relationships that make capital move in new directions.
