Why This Role
This is a rare kind of job: a relationship- and values-first approach to investing and capital formation. And you’ll help build something rare: a generous, empathetic, spiritually-based community (Francesco Collaborative) that resources and is resourced by revenue from values-first investment firm (Livable Future LLC). You’ll work closely with a founder who thinks big, builds trust quickly, and loves gathering and facilitating — but who needs a partner in nurturing relationships and realizing the full potential of each one.
Right now we have more investor interest than we can carry. Investors find us, ask real questions, and want to go deeper. Fund managers doing extraordinary work want our help reaching institutional capital. The bottleneck is not demand. It is the sustained, patient, relational follow-through that turns interest into conviction and conviction into committed capital.
That is this job. Not development. Not new program design. Relationships with investors and with the fund managers and entrepreneurs building a prophetic economy — held with enough care and enough savvy weaving connective tissue so that things actually move.
You’ll have real ownership from day one. You’ll sharpen your instincts for how institutional capital actually moves, how impact funds get built and scaled, and how a spiritually-energized movement can lead change at the national and international levels.
You’ll be reinforced by an Associate Director with incredible systems acumen, phenomenal marketing and organizing colleagues, and an exceptional executive admin team. This position has the support to complement the gifts you bring.

About Us
Even the most talented changemakers — with real traction and real impact — often fall short of closing an investment after they’ve met the people who manage institutional capital. The meetings happen. The interest is genuine. What breaks down is the part that comes after: the consultant who really can’t add funds to their approved list, the advisor who doesn’t have a landscape of similar opportunities to compare it to, the investment committee that is risk averse and wants more track record, the board member whose investment beliefs don’t have a category for this kind of opportunity.
Francesco Collaborative (FC) exists to work on the beliefs, frameworks, logics, and relationship infrastructure that determine whether capital actually moves.
That means curating peer insights from investors and consultants who have already made the shifts and are building repeatable processes that turn one-off wins into sustained investment practice. We’re building culture, community, and market intelligence. Our gatherings build the kind of trust between peers and institutions that give them the confidence to drive the change they’re seeking.
We stand on a 50+ year foundation. Decades ago, pioneering congregations of Catholic sisters made bold decisions to use their capital as a transformative force for good — pioneering community development finance and shareholder advocacy long before “impact investing” was a category. We are the grateful inheritors of that vision. The governance transitions those congregations are navigating right now — and the next generation of Catholic families, foundations, and institutional investors stepping into leadership — are a cornerstone to what we believe will define the next fifty years of this Catholic Social Teaching and investing movement.
Francesco Collaborative is a community gathered and grounded by conviction — organizing investors, philanthropists, and faith leaders around Catholic Social Teaching and the project of economic transformation. Through workshops, peer learning communities, and summits, we build the companionship, capacity, and confidence that move institutions from interest to action.
Livable Future Impact (LFI) is our affiliated placement agent initiative — connecting values-aligned institutional capital to exceptional impact funds working at the frontier of employee ownership, climate investing, community wealth building, and beyond.
Together, FC and LFI form a small, high-trust, entrepreneurial platform doing work that didn’t exist in this form before we built it.
Our team is small by design.
We believe in doing fewer things with more depth — and we’re hiring to go further.
About this Role
This role is for someone who sees a big ask as a gift — extending an invitation into a partner’s most important work, from a foundation of mutual respect and spiritual alignment. You can identify the barriers between the ask, the commitment, and the follow-through, and then build the supports necessary to catalyze change within individuals, their institutions, and our network.
The Executive Director, Felipe, is a visionary and an activator. He generates ideas quickly, builds relationships instinctively, and moves between fundraising, fund placement, workshop facilitation, and movement-building — often in the same day. What we need is someone who can step into strategic relationships and carry them forward: accompanying people in their most important work, watching for the ripple effects, and creating the shareable content and gathering spaces that make those ripples possible.
We have scoped this role deliberately narrowly. Institutional development, university partnerships, and new program design are real needs, and they are not this job. This person has two priorities:
Priority 1 — Nurture Our Investor Community and Welcome New Investors (60%)
Francesco Collaborative’s power is relational. This priority is about going deeper with the investors already in our community, welcoming new ones in, and accompanying each of them on the journey toward a fuller embodiment of Catholic Social Teaching in how they steward capital.
- Deepen existing relationships. Add strategic value to 20 existing investors each quarter through one-on-ones, small groups, and in-person meetings — understanding where each person is in their journey and what would actually help them take the courageous next step.
- Welcome new investors in. Reach out proactively to 20 and successfully welcome 12 new institutional investors each quarter — responding to inbound interest quickly and warmly, and initiating outbound conversations with the allocators most likely to move.
- Accompany investors toward deeper CST embodiment. Support 6+ institutional investors each quarter in making concrete moves on investment beliefs, asset allocation, investment policy statements, and liquidity — through drop-in sessions, sustained cohort workshops, and one-on-one coaching.
- Identify and accompany the leaders most ready to move. Each quarter, find the 8 leaders most likely to drive significant change toward our North Stars, and collaborate with Felipe to help them lead that change inside their institutions.
- Coach senior leaders at endowments, foundations, religious congregations, banks, and consulting firms as they run internal change initiatives — parsing their institutional constraints and helping them build a path that works.
- Create the gatherings where relationships form. Work with local FC leaders in 6–12 cities to organize in-person gatherings, and build the relational infrastructure of our annual CST & Investing Summit by inviting and clinching top notch speakers, sponsors, and VIP guests.
- Steward the relationship data. Keep our CRM and network databases current so that what you learn in a conversation becomes something the whole team (and our partners) can track the patterns on. We can build new insights and programming from what we’re learning.
Priority 2 — Support Fund Managers and Prophetic Economy Leaders in Their Fundraising (40%)
Our fund manager relationships are where conviction becomes capital. This priority is about offering the managers and entrepreneurs building a prophetic economy something more comprehensive than anyone else offers them — and building the programming that sustains them.
- Lead engagement with our core fund manager relationships. Project manage across the FC & LFI team, both full-time and fractional staff, to deliver consistently exceptional service: preparation, regular meetings, follow-up, and monthly reporting for our 5–10 top relationships.
- Coach & Support growth of thoughtful fundraising infrastructure for these managers so their capital-raising process – materials, data rooms, group meetings, initial and follow-up interactions – are organized, tracked, and credible to institutional allocators.
- Build their fundraising capacity. Sharpen their narrative, their materials, and their understanding of how institutional allocators actually decide (developing thoughtful comparables / benchmarks to help investors quickly frame how they evaluate, which bucket they’re considering, and what they’re comparing against) — the specific gap that keeps good funds from closing good capital.
- Lead trainings and cohort-based learning that support the growth and development of peer fund managers and entrepreneurs, building the companionship that makes this work sustainable.
- Manage the inbound pipeline of fund managers, entrepreneurs, and capital seekers: take short meetings, understand strategy and background, and assess fit with our framework, community, and priorities.
- Build high-value content that serves the additional impact funds we want to support but can’t engage in sustained relationships.
- Contribute qualitative and quantitative data to our network and deal-sharing databases.

What Success Looks Like in Year One
We’d expect the person in this role to chart their own path to these outcomes.
Relationship depth — the core measure
- Meaningful, active relationships with investors across three tiers of capacity: $500K, $5M, and $20M check-writing capability — with a growing count in each tier and a clear sense of where each relationship stands
- 6+ institutional investors per quarter making concrete moves on investment beliefs, asset allocation, IPS, or liquidity
- 40 new investor relationships through 6–12 new in-person gatherings
Revenue this role contributes to
- Programs: Contributing meaningfully to own 40% of our revenue goals through the fund manager and investor support work.
- Sponsorship: $30,000 of our $60,000 sponsorship goal
- Grants and donations: $100,000 of our $400,000 goal — from relationships that grow naturally out of the investor community, not from a standalone development function
Credibility in the field
- 15+ high-profile investors speaking about their experience with us to their peers, colleagues, and friends
- Highly credentialed people writing about our work and its impact — on ImpactAlpha, LinkedIn, and elsewhere
About You
Your background may be in investing, sales, organizing, finance, or none of those — but you have the experience and skillset to move someone from “I care” to “I act” to “I activate others.”
You take initiative and ownership without being asked. You notice what’s about to fall through the cracks and you catch it. You’re not waiting to be told what to do next — you’ve already thought two steps ahead and you’re bringing a plan.
You’re exceptionally smart, and you’ve likely started something of your own — a project, a publication, a community, a side venture — not because someone told you to, but because you saw something missing and built it. And whether or not you started the thing, you brought others into the work: inviting them, agitating them toward the shared work, and supporting their development to co-own it.
You listen exceptionally well. When someone is thinking out loud, or says no, or not yet, or I can’t because — you’re able to parse their strengths, their barriers, and their opportunities, and support them in charting a path forward. You can draw the patterns and pathways connecting multiple people facing similar challenges, amplifying your impact from individuals to institutions to the network to the world.
You are patient with long term relationships. You understand that the conversation that matters may be the eleventh one, and you can hold warmth and persistence together over months without either curdling into pressure.
You are culturally literate and globally aware. You pay attention to the world — not abstractly, but through real relationships and lived proximity. You understand the crises and violence shaping people’s lives, and it affects you. At the same time, you are clear-eyed about how institutions actually function: how decisions get made, how power operates, and what it takes to move systems rather than only critique them.
You are comfortable in the world of finance, investing, and institutional relationships — not necessarily because you’ve worked at an endowment or raised funds yourself, but because you’re relationally skillful, appropriately confident and humble, and adaptable. You can represent FC in a high-profile group investor meeting or a partnership and do it credibly and with ease.
You’re energized by the mission. You don’t need a background in Catholic Social Teaching or in investing — but you need to care deeply enough about building an economy that actually serves people, and you need to be motivated to learn the vocabulary and the vision of this particular movement.
This is not the right fit if:
- You need a lot of direction and structure to get started.
- You prefer to stay in your lane rather than fill gaps.
- Fast-moving, ambiguous environments feel draining rather than energizing.
- You’re looking for a role that is mostly execution, not judgment.
- You have specific and unwavering opinions about what people with wealth should do with their money.
